The Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack gives you the strength and stability you need for all kinds of hauling. With two full-length aluminum crossbars and four SX legs, this complete system is built to handle heavy loads up to 165 lbs while staying light and easy to manage. The lockable cover plates on each leg keep the rack secure to your roof, so your setup stays put through long road trips, camping runs, and everyday use.
You don’t have to live with that constant rooftop hum. The Vortex crossbars use an aero-style shape that helps smooth airflow over the rack, while the rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels reduce drag and wind noise. It’s a quieter, more relaxed drive whether you’re cruising the highway or winding through backroads.
From kayaks and canoes to cargo boxes and bikes, these bars are ready for almost any adventure setup. The top channels let you slide in channel-mount accessories, and the shape also fits clamp-on gear. That means you can stick with the attachments you already own or add new ones later without hassle.
The integrated plastic locks in each crossbar help deter theft of your channel-mount accessories. If you want extra peace of mind, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 – sold separately) for added protection when your gear is left unattended at campsites or trailheads.
Each bar measures 49" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall, made from corrosion-resistant aluminum that stands up to weather and wear. The black finish keeps it looking sharp over time. With a limited lifetime warranty on the crossbars and a 5-year limited warranty on the legs, it’s a dependable setup built for years of loading up and heading out.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Oh well if it was still on my car I would be happy but Back in August last year comming home from MT hit the right wind picket and the entire rack came off my car and messed up both sides of my back door jam metle on the top. Needless to say the $500 dollars I spent and put in my car just blew away. Though my kayaks were still attach to the holders. So make sure after long drives you tighten up. Drives and vibration can loose em stuff. Now I’m out of a car rack and can never put one back on.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
